Like many clubs, Newbury RFC is almost entirely run by volunteers.
We are looking for enthusiastic people to come forward now and offer their expertise and a small amount of time each week to help the club move forward and deliver our mission of ‘rugby for all’
Unfortunately we can’t pay you, but this is a great opportunity to get involved in a thriving community rugby club, gain transferable skills you can use elsewhere, meet new people and make a real difference to the club.
We are currently recruiting for:
- Commercial Director
- Account Manager
- Fundraising Manager
- Sponsorship & Advertising Manager (x 2)
- Video Operator
- Media Manager

FREE ROOM HIRE FOR ALL PRIVATE PARTIES
June is a popular month for weddings and we’re getting our fair share of those but throughout the Summer months, we’re still happy to offer The Wickens, Langdon and Kickers Bar free to club members for parties and celebrations no matter how small or large.
The great facilities are still here for your enjoyment and we’re happy to work with you to make your birthday party, anniversary or christening a special event. The Wickens Suite is ideal for all types of parties from 50 to 180 guests whilst the Langdon Lounge has a more intimate feel and works for parties of 20 to 40. We can offer hot or cold buffets or formal three or four course dinners if you’d prefer.
We make a great venue for outdoor parties too, plenty of green space (safe for children to run around and enjoy), a patio and terrace where we can prepare and serve food al fresco and the Kickers Bar is there on tap (so to speak). We can organise music, outdoor games for adults and activities to entertain children so call us for a quote, you won’t be disappointed!

NRFC Rugby, Beer and Cider Festival 17th July

We’ve been thinking about this for a while now and when the Rugby Club mentioned their Business Touch Rugby and Business Rounders Challenge Finals we thought this was the perfect opportunity to combine the two. There’ll be a great day of sport from 10am onwards and at 12 noon, we’ll be opening our doors – or rather the marquee – where over 30 ales and ciders will be set up ready to be sampled. Your local West Berkshire Brewery are working with us on sourcing the right ales from around the country and we’ll have a good number from local brewers too. There’s a great SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY here too….for just £50.00, you or your company could ‘adopt’ as your own, an individual ale or cider of your choice and receive….
- An A4 poster with your name and logo displayed on the barrel front of your chosen tipple.
- An entry in the programme beside your chosen ale or cider

There’ll be plenty to keep the young ones amused ….ball ponds for the little ones, bouncy castles or inflatable assault courses for the older ones, Rugby tots will be there with demos for 3-7 year olds too.
We’ve lined up some superb live music acts starting around 3.30 to 4pm.
ENERGY (logo) will headline supported by The Julian Tulk Band, New York Minute and more.
Of course we’ll have a wide variety of delicious food to tuck into on the day. The BBQ will be going all day serving Club Burgers and Sausages, home-made pies and punnets of chips as well as Mickey’s famous Paella and a Hog Roast to round the selection off.

The summer of sport is on at the club, live on the screens in the Kickers Bar.
11am this Saturday England Rugby take on Austrialia Down under.
7:30pm this Saturday England take on USA in the Football World Cup.
Followed by England v Algeria in the Football World Cup on Friday, 18 June, 19:30
Then England Rugby v Austrialia again at 11am on Saturday the 19th
Finally for the momnet England v Slovenia in the Football World Cup on Wednesday, 23 June, 15:00
