Chairmans Draw
Dear Member/Supporter,
I am writing to let you know about a new fund raising scheme - the Chairman’s Draw.
As you know, the Club made a loss last year. We have already taken significant steps to reduce spending, improve our efficiency and overall financial management. However, we now need to raise funds to pay off our debts.
I am introducing the Chairman’s Draw to give all members of the club a way to help at this difficult time, and in return, to take part in a monthly draw to win a cash reward.
The details
The aim of the draw is to generate funds to pay off Club debts.
- There will be one draw per month from member’s numbers who have made a £15 contribution by the 20th of the month. Donations will be by cheque or credit card payment specifically for the draw.
- A member can enter the draw more than once in any month by making a larger monthly contribution (which must be a multiple of £15).
- The draw will run once a month for 10 months.
- A member can make a single donation of £150 that will place their membership number in the draw once for each of the 10 draws.
- If your donation arrives after the 20th of the month it will automatically be placed into the next month’s draw. We will make the draw for each month between the 25th and the end of the month.
- One winning ticket will receive 5% of the total amount paid into the draw for that month.
- We will only use the funds to reduce debts that were incurred in the club financial year 2007-2008.
- We will invite members to take part in this draw by e-mail (or post where we do not have member’s email addresses).
- The first draw will take place in December 2008.
Members should to send their donations to the Chairman at the club address and include a donation form. Thank you in anticipation of support for your club.
