Junior 12′s Festival Information 2011

Sorry, but NO DOGS are allowed on any part of the Club Grounds or in the Clubhouse.  It is the responsibility of visiting teams to inform their parents of this, and we would be grateful if they would do this, so as not to cause any upset or embarrassment on arrival.

Directions:

Directions to Newbury RFC may be found on our website www.newburyrfc.co.uk

Parking:

Please take care on arrival and departure at NRFC with so many players likely to be around.  Car parking is free.  The Club informs all car owners that cars are parked entirely at their own risk.  There are designated parking spaces for coaches, so do consider coach travel in your plans.

Programmes:

Programmes will be on sale at a cost of £3.00 per programme.

Control and Registration:

Club gates will open at 8.00am.  Registration will be in the Langdon Lounge from 8.30am to 9.30am.  Please have your registration forms completed before entering the Langdon Lounge.  Please note however, that you should not register until all your team members are present at the Club.  Clear instructions regarding the required time of arrival should therefore be given to your team members before the day.

After the main registration, managers and referees will be directed to their Age Group Control Tent to register for their first match.  All team managers and referees should report to their Age Group Control Tent to register 30 minutes before their first game.  Each Age Group Control Tent will deal with the running of their tournament, but in the event of a dispute, the Tournament Organisers will be asked to give a final ruling. Matches in all age groups will start at 10.00am prompt

Punctuality:

In order that the tournament runs on time, we ask all teams to appear at the control tent for their particular pitch, at half time during the previous game.  This will ensure that all games will start immediately the previous game has finished.

Refreshments:

The bar will be open throughout the tournament.  The Club will be organising a barbecue and other food options, including a lunch menu in the Kickers Sports Bar in the Clubhouse.  You are advised that no individual club barbecues may be set up in the Club grounds – although picnics are encouraged.

Referees:

A pool of referees will be available and we would appreciate referees’ assistants (Touch Judges) from visiting clubs.  The referee co-ordinator will assist with referee allocation.  As always, we appreciate the important role they play on the day, and would ask that all spectators give them the same positive encouragement as in previous years.

Changing Accommodation:

Changing rooms and showers are provided in the main Clubhouse, but players are advised not to leave any belongings in the changing rooms, but to take them once they have changed.  DO NOT use the Clubhouse toilets as changing rooms.  Coaches must take responsibility for their teams in the changing rooms and ensure that the facilities are treated respectfully at all times.

Children:

Unsupervised children will not be allowed in the Clubhouse.

Studs/Muddy Boots:

Studs and/or muddy boots must not be worn in the Clubhouse

Photographs:

Anyone wishing to take photographs on the day completes the RFU Registration Document which must be handed in at registration on the day where an appropriate badge will be issued showing approval to photograph. This badge must be displayed at all times during the festival and we would ask you all to have the badge available for inspection if requested.

Tents:

Control tents for all pitches will be provided.  Should you wish to set up your own tents, there will be designated areas where this is possible.  No camping overnight is permitted at the club.

Your attention is drawn to Newbury RFC Mini and Junior Section’s Code of Conduct for Spectators which we hope you will agree, if adhered to will ensure a pleasurable Festival for all who attend.
